The cuts they are proposing are designed to offset the huge tax cuts that are expiring this year. While come of these tax cuts have benefited average working people, most benefit the extremely wealthy. These tax cut extensions would explode our national deficit which will cause the interest on government debt to rise, which will in turn, impact average working class families because mortgage and credit card interest will continue to be high.
